About Cascade Academy of Music & Arts

Our History

Cascade Academy of Music and Arts is a place for families to bring their children for a wonderful experience in music.  The program was founded in 2001 as North County Homeschool Music Program by Doug and Tina Riley with a desire to serve the Lord through teaching music while healing from the death of their son, David.  From 2001 to 2016, this diverse program had flourished under their leadership, growing from a small group of homeschool families, to a respected program serving over 200 students in choir, band, orchestra, and drama classes.  In 2014, the program was able to move into it's own facility, having outgrown the church it was meeting in, and NCHMP became North County Music Academy. In 2016, the Lord moved the Riley family to Montana.  At that time, the baton was passed and Cascade Academy of Music & Arts (CAMA) was created.  The goal of CAMA is to continue to honor this incredible legacy of service, love, and music begun by our founders and to see the program grow.  Our unique blend of music classes and development of leadership among the more experienced students as they help the newer students has created an amazing and dynamic learning environment.
